Notes from Linda Gray, Ohio Valley AWM Executive Committee FROM WMPF to Alliance Women…Enlarging our Territory! For
36 years I have been part of this marvelous group of girls, now called Alliance
Women, and am so thankful for the examples of those who went before me.
I remember as a “young in the Lord 27 year old” hearing the dear
older saints pray…and for people they / we didn’t know who were so very far
away! Why would they do that?
Did they really need to do that? Shouldn’t
people over there be praying for people “over there”? “But how can they
call on Him to save them unless they believe in Him? And how can they believe in
Him if they have never heard about Him? And
how can they hear about Him unless someone tells them?
And how will anyone go and tell them without being sent? “
How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!”
Heb 10:14-15 Yes,
there’s that… Alliance
Women are dedicated to
all of the same purposes Women’s Missionary Prayer Fellowship
were dedicated to, but with an enlarged vision of what we need to be doing here
at home so that we could be blessed and
have our lands extended, just as Jabez requested in I Chron. 4:10.
It is not doing away with the old to bring in the new.
It is enlarging our opportunities for ministry according to your gifts
and the passions God has given to you to reach out to a lost, very lost, and
hurting world. That may be your next
door neighbor or a person unknown to you in the city of Hong Kong, or the
jungles of South America. Alliance
Women has given us the
freedom to do God’s will for our Jerusalem, our Judea, our Samaria and to the
ends of the earth as we are told in Acts 1:8.
All are included and all need Jesus as much as you and I do!
How do I have time to do that and how do I know what to do?
God has been so good to give us leaders in Alliance Women who understand our issues and care about our time
and our ministries. Last
year we were “ON THE MOVE” and this year we are “SIMPLY FRAGRANT”!

skits, Missions ideas, prayer ideas, and even food ideas!

Women, let’s be that sweet smelling perfume to all who need Christ!
What can you do that will show those whom Christ has put around you that
He is the only answer? "God
uses us to spread His knowledge everywhere like a sweet-smelling perfume. Our
offering to God is this: We are the sweet smell of Christ among those who are
being saved and among
those who are being lost." 2
